In the summer time...

It. Is. HOT.  It's not officially summer yet, but boy does it feel like it.  We have had the ac on, and doing all of our summer prep. Which means always having lots of water on hand!

As much as I am excited for the summer, I am totally not ready for the actual summer weather. But this summer some amazing things are happening!

First....my birthday is in the summer.  I officially declare the month of June as my birthday month. My actual birthday is June 24, but the whole month is mine!  Lots of fun and celebrations.  Also this summer means Pennsic, and Charlottes second birthday.  Which I am totally not ready for my baby to be two years old!

As far as sessions go, July and August are open. I always suggest that for summer sessions, they are done either very early in the morning or as close to sunset as possible to avoid the heat.  We can of course have the session in your nice, air conditioned home, so that everyone is comfortable! *wink wink*  If you were thinking of booking a session with me, now is the time! Especially if you want to wait and have an amazing fall session, because those usually book up during the summer.

So tell me, what are some things that you are looking forward to this summer?

It's time for....NEW!!! (More new stuff inside!)

I love offering unique products that make a statement.  For me as much as I love taking pictures, it breaks my heart when my images just end up sitting on a disc, not to be seen. I want you to showcase your amazing session!  I offer amazing mounted prints with a luster coating, which not only adds stability to your print, but it is protected by the coating and it looks gorgeous.  Oh, and canvases!  If you are not a picture in frame person, then canvases are the way to go.

One of the new products that I am literally jumping in my seat about is the memory boxes from H.H. Boogie.  I already offer the Nostalgia, which is amazing. It holds your prints in a leather satchel, has hand cut paper and envelopes to write notes, and 5 vials to keep bits of what you love the most. The box is hand carved, and is just a gorgeous piece of wood.  And it has enough space to  add other items that you hold near and dear.  I use one to hold everything about Charlotte. Her pictures, her first shoes, diaper, bib, favorite pacifier, etc.

And now, I am excited to be offering TWO new amazing boxes from the H.H. Boogie line.  The first one I call Joy, and it is small and perfect for holding your favorite images from your session. The second one is Unbound. And it is your non-traditional approach to an album.  It holds up to 50 pages, designed as an album spread in a leather satchel, held in the amazing crafted box. Definitely a centerpiece to talk about.

I will have samples of Joy and Unbound very shortly!

If you are interested in purchasing one or more of these amazing keepsakes to go along with your amazing session, contact me today!

Kelsey's Newborn Session {DE & PA Newborn and Family Photographer}

I had the honor of photographing Jessica and Scotts wedding in 2011...when I was 8 months pregnant. So I was over the moon to find out that they were expecting a little one, and chose me to photograph her newborn session.  Plus, I needed my baby fix since Charlotte is getting older and bigger every day.  What can I say about little Miss Kelsey? She is perhaps the most smiling baby I have ever photographed. Seriously, this little lady was cracking little smiles the whole time!  Especially after the blow out incident...i'm not going to go into that!

Love, Mom- Shasta and her Family {Delaware Lifestyle Family Photographer}

I've known Shasta for years now. We met through our love of costuming at the renaissance faire. And we have been friends since then. I photographed her maternity session, and her daughter Elsa's newborn session, and last year a just girls session with her and Elsa. So this year we had to get dad in on it too!  Check out their session, and see how sassy little Miss Elsa is!

Sharon & Mike's Nautical Themed Maternity Session {Delaware and PA Maternity and Family Photographer}

When Sharon first contacted me about her maternity session, and said she wanted a nautical theme to match the nursery, I knew we were a match made in heaven. I have an obsession with nautical things. Well, I have an obsession with many things to be honest, but a nautical theme is something I have yet to do. So I was super excited to scour the net and Pinterest (of course) for inspiration on what to wear and props.

It couldn't have been a more beautiful day for their session. Not to warm, not too cool, and the wind and light just perfect. I was literally screaming after every shot. And can we say: Baby. Boat. Shoes. I'm dying over here!

I can't wait for their little one to be born and to photograph his newborn session! So enjoy Sharon and Mike's maternity session!
