Do what you love, and love what you do

And that is what I am doing. I am so thankful to be able to do what I love.  I will be honest, there are some days when I am like "What the hell am I doing?!"  Running a business takes A LOT of work.  No where is it guaranteed that I am going to be successful.  Each day is a roll of the dice.  It can all be very stressful!  But because I am doing what I love, I am reminded that this is what I chose to do, and even with all of the uncertainty, I will continue to do this.

I was told that I should dream big.  Believe you me, I am.  Although I am in a place where I never thought I would by by now, there is so much more that I want to, that I need to do.  Not just in regards to my business, but with everything.  Sometimes I dream so big, that I get overwhelmed.  Then I get worried that I am not going to accomplish everything that I want to set out to do.  Then I am reminded that nothing has ever come from sitting and wishing.  Dreaming is fine, but you have to go out there and actually make your dream a reality.  No matter how crazy it is.

So here I am dreaming big, and living my dreams.  This girl from New York, is doing what she loves. And I am so happy about it.

Happy Thanksgiving...A couple of days later!

I hope all of you had a very happy and amazing Thanksgiving this year!  We are still chowing down on left overs in my house.  This was my first year, EVER, cooking Thanksgiving dinner, and according to the full stomachs, empty plates, and compliments, I think I did a pretty good job.  My mother says that from here on out, I will be cooking Thanksgiving dinner every year.  She has officially handed down the torch.  Knowing me, I of course had to photograph the progress of my day and the DELICIOUS food! So enjoy, and try not to get too hungry!

And remember, it shouldn't take one holiday to make you thankful for all that you have, be thankful all year round.  I am so incredibly thankful for what I have and where I am at!

Family Session-The Paul Family

Thanksgiving is tomorrow! I hope you all have a great one with your family, friends, and loved one.  Tomorrow, will be my first year cooking Thanksgiving dinner!

But before that happens, I have an amazing fall family session for you! Meet Scott, Carly, and Scarlett. An adorable family who loves Yo Gabba Gabba.  On a semi-related note, I watched it with my daughter for the first time today, and I think I enjoyed the show more than she did! Moving on, here is the amazing Paul family! I had such a blast photographing them. And Scarlett, is just too cute!

Loving Life

Whenever I travel, I always pick a hotel that has room service.  I am not fancy by ANY means, but I love a nice hotel room, and ordering room service.  I've always loved it.  So when we went to Virginia this past weekend, my husband was not surprised at all when I ordered room service for breakfast.  I also have a thing for traveling and staying hotels.  I think it comes from all the traveling I did with my grandparents when I was younger.  But traveling gives me a chance to get away, see new things, and return back home with a new appreciation for what is there.  I love spreading out in the king sized sleep number bed at the hotel, but coming home to my bed is always nice.

This trip was extra special because my husband and daughter came along.  For a 13 week old baby she did amazing traveling from Delaware to Virginia. Like her parents she is built for travel and loving life.

Childrens Session-Marisa and Alisa

I had the pleasure of photographing these two sisters last year for their fall portraits.  So I was very excited to see them again this year. It's amazing to see how fast kids grow up!  The day was perfect for their session. The weather was gorgeous, and we had a great time running around, talking about Disney shows, and playing in the leaves.

{Ink and Pearl} an Orchestrated Stylized Shoot-Virginia Beach

This weekend was amazing.  I headed down to Virginia Beach to participate in a stylized shoot, and to sum it up in one word:  EPIC.  A stylized shoot is basically a mock wedding, it gives us creative folks a chance to get super creative without the stress of a wedding day timeline.  This shoot was gorgeous! It was based off of Miss Coco Chanel itself.  Everything was black and white, and once of my favorite pieces of jewelry...pearls, were center stage.  The weather was perfect.  The home that we were in, was absolutely stunning, I have never seen a more beautiful home.  It literally took my breath away.  I had a great time meeting new photographers, and just letting the creative juices flow.  Here are some of my absolute favorites!

And a HUGE THANK YOU! to all of the amazing vendors that were involved in putting this together:
