Oh Charlie, you are quite the cutie.  It was a blast photographing your newborn session, but having you back in the studio to photograph you in your gorgeous Christening gown, and just seeing how much you have grown, is awesome!  I just love your little baby rolls!

Baby Parker and his family {Delaware and PA Newborn and Family Photographer}

I first photographed Kristen, Terry, and little miss Natalie at the end of 2012, when Kristen was pregnant with their soon to be baby boy.  Natalie was so excited to be a big sister, and it showed when it came time for Parkers newborn session.  She wanted to hug, and kiss her big brother. And then she stepped into the mommy role, and wanted pictures of her and her "baby" while her mother tended to Parker.  Such a sweet moment.

So without me blabbing on, I am going to let the pictures speak for themselves.  I have said it 1000 times, and will say it 1000 times more. I love what I do!  I love connecting with families, and capturing the love they share. I love watching them grow and giving them moments to look back on.

Parker is part of my Baby Milestone collection, which means that I get to see this adorable little man three more times during the next year! Pin It

Dream Big!

Today I saw a picture of the First Lady. It was photographed by Annie Leibowitz for Vogue. It was an absolutely stunning image.   I joked with my friends, "So, when can I start taking pictures of famous people?".  I am a firm believer of working hard, putting what you want out into the universe  and if the cards are right, it will come back to you. How else can I explain how far that I have come, and the things that I have been blessed with?  So this girl is dreaming big. Pin It

Little Miss Natalie {Delaware Lifestyle Child Photographer}

Cute doesn't even begin to cover little Miss Natalie. She is absolutely precious!  I loved having her in for the first session in her milestone collection with her awesome parents, Katie and Sidd.  I can't wait until warmer weather to take our sessions outdoors. Marisa Taylor Photography turns 4 years old today!!!

4 cupcakes for each year. And yes, I plan on eating them all. Don't judge me!

Wow! That is crazy to say. I have been in business for myself for four years. FOUR WHOLE YEARS!  I started this journey professionally in 2009, with the push from my husband to get out there and do it. He said that if I didn't do it then, I would never do it. And I would end up regretting that I didn't do it.

Thank goodness I have him by my side.

The journey has been long, and tough. There have been times when I constantly thought "what the heck am I doing?!?!"  But you know what? I wouldn't trade it for the world.  I am so thankful to be where I am today. I am thankful to have a career that I genuinely love. One that gives me the time to shine light on others lives, and let's me stay home with my amazing daughter.  A career where I get to meet new people, make new friends, watch families grow, give women confidence, and make people smile.

I went from my Canon rebel, and one kit lens and shooting on location or in my apartment.  I know have better equipment, a dedicated studio space, loyal clients, amazing friends and family and supporters.  There are days that I am still in awe and disbelief. I have been featured on wedding blogs, wedding planner blogs, and have been in the magazine, Delaware Bride, twice!  I've grown to know some amazing photographers, receive some amazing advice, and watched the table turns as I was the one giving advice and helping newer photographers.

I still can't believe how far I've come. But I will tell you what, I am definitely looking forward for the journey ahead.

So thank you! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart.  I would not be here if it wasn't for you! Those who believed in me, supported me, trusted me. Those who have been with me since the beginning. Those who have spread the word about me and my business, and have helped me grow. You are more valuable to me than you will ever know.

Baby Emma is back again! {Delaware Baby Photographer}

Baby Emma was the first official baby to sign up for my milestone collection.  Which is 4 portrait sessions within baby's first year, or within the course of a year for families.  I've been photographing her since she was 5 days old.  So it has been amazing journey watching her grow up.  And each time I see her, her eyes light up and she smiles at me! Instantly melts my heart.

This is her third session with me, and soon we will be approaching her session for her first birthday. Ahhhh! I can't believe it. Why do kids have to grow up so fast?

Do you still do weddings? {Delaware Lifestyle and Wedding Photograper}

I receive this question in my email on a weekly basis. And the answer is yes, I still do weddings. Weddings were my first love with photography. It was how I got my foot in the door on becoming a professional photographer. I still love them! I love the emotion, the details, the fact that two people are surrounded by their family and friends and are about to devout their life to each other. It's still amazing.

So, what's going on?!

You will notice that my website features lots,of cute babies, laughing kids, and happy families. My main focus is on lifestyle photography. After having my daughter Charlotte, I had to sit down and run through some important points, and one of the most important points was being there for Charlotte as she grows up, so the management became very important.

I also want to be there 100% for you. So I had to create workload that allowed me to be the best photographer I can be, while being a mom and wife. Which is why I now only do a select few amount of weddings each years. In fact, I have a couple on the books for 2013, and meetings scheduled for some 2014 weddings. I now offer collections for intimate, smaller weddings and large, full day weddings. So if you are interested in booking, lets talk! I would love to get to know more about you, and your wedding day.
