10 Day Blog Challenge: Day 6-Five People Who Mean A Lot

Yay for Memorial Day weekend! I should be out enjoying BBQ's or something related to a pool, but first I am working, then I am packing, and then comes the fun stuff.  So on to today's blog post: five people who mean a lot (in no particular order).

I am going to let you know right now that I am going to cheat and lump a few people together!

1) My husband Wes. Obviously. This man is my heart, and my best friend. Even before we were married, I could see us 50 years down the line, still laughing and having a good time.  He supports me, he pushes me to be better because he knows that I can be better, he is just everything to me.

2) My daughter Charlotte. I was told that I couldn't have children. At the time, it was saddening, but I was young, so I didn't dwell on it too long. I was all about having fun and living life, children could wait.  After being pregnant once and having one miscarriage, it devastated me. And I realized how badly I wanted a child.  We weren't trying for children, but out of the blue, Charlotte came! I first saw her at 8 weeks old, a little tiny bean (hence her nickname) in my stomach.  She was born perfectly healthy and adorable!  She keeps me on my toes. Shows me that love is unlimited. And when she crawls to me saying "mama" and leans up for a hug or kiss, my heart melts.

3) My dog Sasha. Well she used to be my dog when I was younger, until we moved. She was my first and only dog. You know the saying "a boy and his dog". Yeah, Sasha was my very best friend, and I loved her so much. It has been years since we moved, and I haven't seen her in years, but I still think about my favorite and only dog.

4) My mom. Without her, I wouldn't be here. Enough said!

5) My grandmother. With her, I wouldn't have my mom, and I wouldn't be here! But seriously, I love my grandma. I stayed with my grandparents a lot when I was younger. Summer vacations, and all that. Traveled with them when they went down south, and was pretty much always there.  I know it sounds weird, but my grandmother always reminded me of the matriarch elephant in a herd. Old and wise and always strong.

And...

5.5) My awesome friends!!! I love you with all of my heart :)
