This weekend, I will be doing my 3rd..or is it my 4th? Love, Mom annual sessions this year!  And with this year, I get a very special treat of photographing my own family. No, not myself, Wesley, and Charlotte. But we are bringing in my parents, grandparents, nieces, and nephews, and just a couple of the grandkids!  We have a really big family that spreads from northern New York, all the way to Florida and pretty much everywhere in between the Eastern seaboard. So trying to get everyone in at the same time would require just a bit of magic, but we will make do!

Even though the time to book your Love, Mom mini sessions are over, and they are happening this weekend. You still have till May 1st to order your Love, Mom gift certificate session.  So it's not over yet!!!

The perfect Mothers Day gift for yourself & the moms in your life

It has been a great success the past 2 years that I have running this, and I am plan on going into it's third year strong!  If this is the first time you have heard of my Love, Mom campaign, you might be asking yourself, just what is it?

Love, Mom is a campaign to have mothers and their loved ones photographed. Plain and simple. I know first hand as a mom how busy life can get, and how fast kids grow up. Before you know it, they aren't the little chubby faced babies that once followed you around, and you find yourself wondering where the time went.  I have priced special sessions so that Moms can come in and have some fantastic images of just themselves, or themselves, their kids, or their spouses.



This year, I am doing things a bit differently! I am offering two types of Love, Mom sessions.  In-studio sessions that will take place with timed slots during Friday April 18th to Saturday April 19th. I am also offering a full session gift certificate that you can gift to the mom in your life and use to set up your own, personal session any time.

Because these Love, Mom sessions have been so popular, I have to put a limit on how many I am offering, as well as the gift certificate specials I am offering.  There will only be 8 sessions per day for the 2 weekend sessions (16 sessions total), and I am only offering 10 of the Love, Mom gift certificates.  Why? Because with the Love, Mom weekend sessions, you receive a $50 gift credit to use towards purchasing prints and products! And with the Love, Mom full session gift certificate, you will receive an $100 gift credit to use!

In-studio sessions must be booked and paid for in full by April 14, 2014.  Gift certificates must be paid for in full at time of booking.  Gift certificates will be available until May 1, 2014 or until the 10 special gift certificates are purchased, which ever comes first.

Once your session is done, be sure to place your print & canvas orders by April 28th to have in time for Mothers Day.

Love, Mom - Melanie & Amber {Delaware Portrait & Family Photographer}

You never know how much love your heart can hold until you become a mother.  A mother loves unconditionally and unlimited.  We create and carry and nurture life.  It really is an amazing thing.  When we see our little girls grow up from little babies to bright, strong, beautiful young women, our heart breaks yet fills with more love at the same time.  We don't want our little girl growing up, but at the same time we are so proud of what they are growing in to.

I was so happy to finally have my friend Melanie and her daughter Amber in for a Love, Mom session. I've done Mel's boudoir session as well as a mini session with her son. Now being able to get Amber in too, was great.  Let me tell you about these too, they are cut from the same stone, exactly alike. Which is quite humorous to watch when they are together.

Love, Mom: My Family! (Delaware Family Portrait Photographer)

I can talk the talk, but can I walk the walk? Well, actually...yes I can. Today I photographed my family for a Love, Mom session! It included four generations of women, and now I can finally say that I do have portraits of me and my family, and yes...I do have a portrait with my mom.

Since this was my family, I kind of went happy go lucky and edited it all in black and white. I LOVE black and white.

All of us, four generations! Myself, my daughter Charlotte, my mother Shirley, my grandmother Katie, my sister Shannon, and my sister Maya.

And the next picture is perhaps my most favorite picture of all time. To me, it emotes such emotion and happiness, while still being a simple image.

Love, Mom {Delaware Family Photographer}

It's April 1st! Happy April Fools!  I just noticed that I have quite a few friends born on this day, including my husbands god daughter.  I also notice a large amount of friends posting that they are getting married, are pregnant, moving, etc.  So I will see how serious they are...tomorrow. 

But now let's get to the important stuff at hand.  Who here has an awesome portrait with their mother? I know that I don't.  Who here is a mother and has an awesome portrait with their child or children?  Nope, me neither.  You would think that with me being a photographer I would have a ton, but I don't.  I know that a lot of my friends and family don't have those images either.  Now you know how I go on and on about how important it is capturing moments with your family, investing into those memories, well with Mothers Day right around the corner, there is no time better than N-O-W.  Seriously, get in on this, it is something that you don't want to miss.

So just as a reminder, Mothers Day is May 13.  6 weeks away.  Like I said, every year I pull my hair out trying to find my mother the perfect gift. There is but so much jewelry, perfume, flowers, and dinners that you can give her.  Give your mom, yourself, or that special woman something amazing that will always last. That you will see every single day of the year hanging up in your home.  It's worth it!

What are the details?

Well, you get an one hour session at a location that you choose. Which means the park, your home, anywhere you would like!  This is for up to three people. So it can be you, your mom, and your child/you and your two children, whatever combination. The only stipulation is that someone has to be a mom,

The session fee of $50 is due at the time of booking. Now these sessions DO NOT have to take place on Mothers Day.  In fact, I prefer that they do not take place on Mothers Day, as I will be celebrating Mothers Day with my mom! You can schedule your session any day before or after Mothers Day, but you must book BEFORE Mothers Day.

You will receive one free 8x10" gift print from your session.  Additional prints and products are sold separately.  And we can set up a viewing and ordering session so you can see and order your amazing photos!

The fee is for up to three people. Now, does it only have to be three people? No. If you have more siblings, children, people who want to be in the photograph with awesome mom, by all means bring them. Each additional person is $15.

Again, this promotion is good from now until Mothers Day. So you can book now and schedule for a later date. If you want it to be a complete surprise, I do offer gift certificates, so you have the option of purchasing that too.   As long as you book your session by May 13th, then everything is all good!

{Happy Mothers Day}

Happy Mothers Day!  Today is the day where we wish all mothers, caregivers, aunties, grandmothers, teachers, pet mothers and all a great mothers day.  Although you really shouldn't wait till one day of the year to say it! Today is my technical first mothers day. At 26 weeks pregnant, my little girl may not be born yet, but hey, i'm doing the carrying!  So for me, it is soon to be mothers day.  The weather is gorgeous!  Get outside and enjoy it! As for me, I have a wedding to shoot, which I have to start getting ready for.  I just wanted to wish all of you amazing women a happy mothers day! Pin It
