The Dakin Family {Delaware Family & Baby Photographer}

When I opened the door and saw Liam and his parents, I knew that I would have a great time photographing them. For one, Liam was wearing a romper. And if you know me, you know I LOVE seeing babies in rompers! But little Liam was teething, and wasn't too happy. It was breaking my heart. But even through the tears, we managed to get some amazing pictures of him just being a kid, even with his serious little faces. Oh, and he has lashes to die for!!!

Whose cute, talkative, and loves to roll over? Baby Brooklyn! From the moment she came into the studio, she was full of adorable baby cooh's and ahh's. And then her best trick was rolling over. Rock the Shot-August Challenge {Macro Photography}

Love, love, love macro photography! So I am super glad that the folks over at Rock the Shot made their photo challenge about macro photography.  Here is my entry!

These are the flowers taken outside of my new home. Don't ask me what flower it is, because honestly I cannot tell you.  Now for the technical stats. I used my 70-300mm Quantaray lens.  ISO 400 | f4.5 | 1/45s.  I then processed it in lightroom using "Daisy" from Pretty Presets. And tweaked it to my liking.

This was the first image that I took once we moved into our new home!

Chic Critique - Cover Image Contest Photo

It's that time again! Time to enter another photo into the running for the cover for Chic Critique magazine! A community of amazing women and photographers who help build, support, and grow with each other.

The image that I want to submit is from my baby sisters senior session. She graduated high school in June and is about to start at the University of Delaware in the fall. It's amazing how we went from squabbling sisters, to being so close. Plus, she is drop dead gorgeous!

If this image won, it would be a pretty epic day for the both of us!

Kelly aka Earth Momma Maternity and Family Session {Delaware & PA Maternity Photographer}

Kelly is one of my sister in law's good friends, and I was so excited to hear that she was expecting a little one. I mean really, I'm always excited when new babies are being born. I jumped on the chance to do her maternity session, and we did it just in time! Just a few days later, her daughter Victoria was born! And I excitedly wait for her newborn session, next week by the way! 

For Kelly's session we headed to a field in Valley Forge, and just let let it flow. We didn't really have a timeline, or a shot list composed. She sat and I captured. I especially love the moments between her and her son Alex. Who is ADORABLE! Then we headed to one of the churches near the battlefield, and had fun in the archways. Congrats again, Kelly, Josh & Alex!

Toddler-Christian {Delaware family lifestyle photographer-Marisa Taylor}

I love lifestyle sessions. Being there in a familys home to capture the moments of their life candidly is amazing. And it definitely is not as easy as just clicking the shutter button and you are done. You have to feel when the moment is happening, before it actually happens. Compose the image in your head before you even press the shutter button.  Kids + Lifestyle = Amazing images. The raw, fun, loved filled time of childhood. Here is Christian.
