I've talked  before how I would like to add more studio sessions to my repertoire this year.  I definitely want to do more style sessions with a pre-consultations before your big shooting day, and following through with your products. Hannah's Newborn Session {Delaware and Pennsylvania Lifestyle and Family Photographer}

It seems like the stars aligned perfectly for me when I was told about Kristen and Josh.  They was referred to me through our mutual friend, awesome photographer, and mom to two awesome cats Chelsea LaVere.  But what makes Kristen even more awesome is that we both love anime, we both love cosplay, and we both love Sailor Moon (internal fan girl squealing ensuing). Oh, and she loves Hello Kitty!  So of course when I went to their home to photograph their new baby girl Hannah, I knew it was going to be one smooth session. Because cool recognizes cool ;)

Dear Moms,

Dear Moms, 

I am going to take a minute here and tell you that you are amazing. Whether you have grown a baby for nine months inside of your belly, or adopted a baby, you are awesome. You are giving another human a piece of yourself that no other person will have, you will always and forever be their mom.

And because you are so amazing, it always breaks my heart when I hear you talk negative about your body. Your body is a body, and yes babies do change that, but think of how awesome that change is. Babies don't look at your body as being ruined, they look at you as that person that is always there when they cry, and your belly as a soft place to cuddle on.

So when I come to your home or you come to me for your babies session, I know you tend to get nervous when I say "Now it's your turn". But understand, you are amazing and gorgeous. You are a mother. That is an absolutely beautiful thing. My job is to not only photograph your baby, but to photograph the people that created this wonderful, tiny, human being. And that is you.

Josiah's Newborn Session {Delaware Lifestyle Newborn Photography}

Oh sweet little Josiah.  Such a  handsome little man.  Even though due to scheduling we were just outside of that prime newborn window (he was just over three weeks at the time of his session), he did wonderfully.  Any excuse to see a new baby,and I am good!

Also, let me tell you something about his family.  They are so loving and peaceful, it just moved me.  I loved watching the way his older sister interacted with him and his older brother Joshua, she is so tender and caring.  Everything from the way she held him to the way she tapped his pacifier to get him to be peaceful again, was just so amazing.

Peaceful.  It was the word that his mother kept using during our session.  And indeed it was just that.

Hello Baby Ryan! {Delaware Newborn and Family Photographer}

I love babies. You know that. I know that.  I especially love chubby babies!  With cheeks that you can squeeze for days. And Mr. Ryan here, definitely wins the most squeezable cheeks award!  I photographed this handsome little man and his family when he was just shy of two weeks old. And of course with all of the babies I photograph, I fell in love.

You may also recognize his big brother Liam, whom I photographed this past summer.  Who can forget those adorable little eyes!

Tatum Jane {Delaware and Maryland Newborn & Family Photographer}

It is an amazing thing to grow with a family.  I photographed Miranda's maternity session, and the birth of her daughter Tatum Jane, and then I had the pleasure to come back and photographer the newborn session.  Have I mentioned that I love what I do?

Baby Juliette {Delaware Newborn & Family Photographer}

I met sweet little Juliette when she was just five days new. Five days! So tiny, and warm.  I really do miss that sweet newborn stage.  With Charlotte being 13 months now, and walking and talking, five days new seems like forever ago.  I had the pleasure of photographing Juliette with her mother Vanessa and father Ulysesses. I love simple, classic images. Parents with their new baby.
